While we are carrying out the free quotation, the customer asks with a concerned look, if it’s a problem going through the house as there is no other way to get to the garden.

The answer is its not a problem, as we put down protective runners both internally and externally to make sure no floors, carpets or expensive patio is ruined during the install.

We can use wheelbarrows or if they are not possible big buckets to remove the Grass and topsoil and then the other way to bring in the aggregates needed to create the new firm sub base in preparation for the new artificial lawn.

Firstly after getting to the required depth, a geotextile weed barrier is put in place followed by a well-compacted crushed stone and a granite dust layer compacted, screeded and recompacted to prevent any sinkage using a whacker plate.

We do not use sharp sand as to when wet it can sink and create unsightly puddles on a new lawn. The artificial lawn is installed from our award-winning Chelsea Grass shaped skilfully to fit in the already fantastic patio.

Any joins needed almost invisible, we then spread kiln-dried sand evenly onto the lawn and brush it into the pile to give it weight and to minimise the blades from laying down.

The whole area both around the lawn is hosed and left in the best possible state for the customer to view & Admire the new and improved garden they always wanted.
