Recent Project: Overgrown Front Garden Easigrass Chelsea 20m2 & removing tree stumps
The garden was overgrown when we first visited to carry out a site survey and free quotation. Our customer had quite simply had enough of dragging the mower through to the front for such a small patch of lawn.
We arranged a tree surgeon to remove unwanted stumps and bushes before we started preparing this small front garden for a new lush lawn & put some colour back into it. Our installers love their work easily proven by the standard of workmanship they produce, and this garden is no exception.
First, they dig the garden to the required depth by hand and remove to our disposal site, so no mess left for the customer and we have a clean slate to work on. None of the other bushes are damaged while this is done.A geotextile weed barrier is next installed as we don’t want anything to grow through the subbase or the new artificial grass. A clean layer of crushed stone is next and compacted down nicely ready for the Granite dust layer, no sharp sand is used by us as it has a tendency to divot and moves around underfoot.
Our granite dust is then compacted screeded and the compacted again using a whacker plate to create a firm base with no chance of the lawn subsiding. Our Multi-award winning Chelsea grass is then lain on the subbase and held in place with sandbags while the lawn is shaped around the surviving trees and bushes and installed into the garden. The kiln dried sand is then brushed deep into the pile. Finally, the whole area is hosed down and left clean ready for our customer to inspect. What a transformation and don’t forget even if you have trees or stumps, we can have them removed as part of the whole process. Yes, smiles all round and another very satisfied Easigrass North East customer.
